Our Blog

Like most, this is my favorite time of year! People are more kind to each other, the giving spirit is in full swing & spending time with loved ones is a priority.  The holidays remind us how blessed we are and how thankful we should be. Last month, I was chatting with a friend of mine at work and she was telling me how her church hangs a giving garland every year. Her church, St. Philip the Apostle Parish, also actively supports Haiti. They founded Haitian Pilgrims http://www.haitianpilgrims.org/ & they have accomplished some pretty amazing things! Their giving garland has helped them tremendously!

We decided to create our own giving garland for the holidays to help us collect supplies and monetary donations. Most of the items on our garland are first-aid/medicines & hygiene basics. These are items that are always in need. Simply choose a tag to donate an item or make a donation through our website. You may also mail a check, made out to Magic Beans Corporation.

Checks can be mailed to: 3319 Esters Road #2095 * Irving, TX 75062

Another fun way to give back this holiday season is to pre-order a Haitian Christmas ornament. Every ornament will be unique & handmade. If you’re giving your ornament as a gift, we’ll wrap it up for you. We’ll be bringing them back from Haiti mid-December. Simply click the donate button and mention in the comments section of your donation that you’re ordering Christmas ornaments. Keep in mind that the ornaments will vary from the photos.

We hope you’ll consider giving back to our cause through one of these fundraisers. All money raised and supplies collected will benefit the children we serve. If supplies are collected before December 10th, we’ll distribute them in December when we’re in Haiti. If we collect supplies through the month of December and after, we’ll take them in March. Your love and support means the world to us. By loving us, you’re loving these sweet children, too.

The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others’ burdens, easing other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas.  – W.C. Jones
