Magic Beans is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to provide basic support and necessities to children and teens locally & in developing countries. Magic Beans was founded after a trip to Haiti in 2012. This trip inspired us to work tirelessly to support the children we fell in love with while we were there. Just like Jack from the classic children’s tale Jack and the Beanstalk, the children in the developing world are fighting a giant. Poverty kills an estimated 30,000 children a day, one child every three seconds, across the world. The materials and supplies that seem inconsequential to the developed world (forgotten clothes, clean water, pencils and notebooks) are the building blocks of hope to children in countries where people do not have reliable access to the basic necessities of life. We provide the magic beans for these children: clothing, food, tuition and other basic necessities. Through the generosity of others, these children are able to start climbing their way out of poverty in pursuit of the golden egg that will provide a brighter future.
Our work is built upon the generosity of our donors. All online donations, large or small, regular or occasional, go toward helping us make a difference in children’s lives.
