Feeding Hope

Montrouis is a town in Haiti that holds a very special place in our hearts. Since March 2014, Feeding Hope, our community feeding program, has provided hot meals to Montrouis’ most desperate community members, young and old. We employ cooks for daily meal service and several students deliver meals to the elderly & disabled unable to leave their homes.

In October of 2016, we celebrated the milestone of 100,000 meals served.

Sadly, 80% of the children seen at our program would not eat without Feeding Hope. Our partner Kesnel saw a need to start this program after he noticed many children in the community foraging for mangoes after school. They had no meal security. They did not know if they would eat that day or not.

On a typical day, we’ll feed over 150 people & that’s not including the staff/volunteers. Many of our volunteers work daily for the program just to receive a meal. Our goal for this program is purchase our own plot of land and begin growing our own food so our program can be sustainable.

If you’d like to support Feeding Hope and this beautiful community, please know that all donations are tax-deductible. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the children and volunteers that work at Feeding Hope. A sponsorship for a child at Feeding Hope provides their monthly meals.
