One month down in the new year and just a little over a month until our big anniversary celebration in Haiti! Nearly a year of serving meals…what a blessing.
As January comes to a close our meal count rises to 34,460 meals to date! Somehow, the resources keep coming in to keep this vital project going. Our thankfulness goes far beyond words. We absolutely could not keep this program going without your love and support.
There are times when we receive new photos of the kids eating and smiling and it still feels like a brand new gift. The excitement is still there when we look at them, the love and joy is still there and we’re very fortunate to be able to provide.
We did receive some sad news this month and we’re sharing with you in hopes that we can all rally together for one of Feeding Hope’s eldest meal recipients…Elise. Ms. Elise has passed away at 111 years of age. What a life she must have lived! We really want to help with expenses for a proper funeral for Elise and we’re asking for your help. We’ve created a separate fundraising page to collect donations for this.
We want to thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and supporting our work at Feeding Hope.
